An hour you can picture before you book it · (954) 758-9861

Nothing is discovered halfway through a Tuesday

Home Care in Margate, and Exactly What the Hour Covers

Washing, dressing, meals, movement and company — each one set out before a visit is booked, with the rate and the shortest booking said out loud on the telephone.

A family eating together at a long wooden table

Said before it is booked, not after

This office holds an AHCA licence, which fixes the outer edge of what any aide may do. Everything inside that edge still has to be described, because nobody should learn what an hour excludes while it is happening.

The hour, out loud

What gets done, in what order, and roughly how long each part takes on an ordinary day.

The edge, out loud

The jobs that belong to a nurse are named on the call, not discovered at the bathroom door.

The figure, out loud

An hourly rate and the shortest booking we take, both quoted before anybody visits.

Four things this office does differently

None of it is complicated. All of it is the sort of thing families only notice is missing afterwards.

01

You hear the hour described before you book it

A spoken walk-through of the visit, start to finish, so nothing about it is a surprise on the morning.

02

The rate and the shortest booking come first

Both figures are given on the opening call. Neither waits for somebody to come and look round the house.

03

Where the licence stops is said plainly

A job that turns out to be nursing is named on the spot, with the reason, and the hour is given up rather than the boundary quietly moved.

04

The diary bends towards the household

Times are set by when the day actually goes wrong, not by what suits the rota at this end.

Four steps, and two of them cost nothing

Most families stop at the second and think about it for a week. That is a perfectly normal place to pause.

01

A call about the difficult part of the day

Fifteen minutes on who lives there, which stretch has become unmanageable, and what has already been tried. Rates and the shortest booking are given on that call.

02

The visit, described end to end

We walk you through the hour aloud — what happens, in what order, and what sits outside it. Change anything you want changed before a date is set.

03

An introduction at home

The aide and a supervisor come for about an hour and do no work. If the fit is wrong, tell us, and no booking ever existed.

04

The first fortnight, then a conversation

Two weeks in we telephone and ask what is not matching the description. Times, order and tasks are adjusted then rather than at some review date.

Describe the part of the day that keeps going wrong

You will be told which of the eight it belongs to, roughly how long that takes, and the cost of an hour. None of it needs a visit.

Margate and the towns beside it

Short drives are what keep an early slot alive for a year, so coverage follows wherever an aide already lives.

Most of this work sits in Margate itself — the streets off Atlantic Boulevard, Royal Palm and the condominium blocks either side of State Road 7. From there it runs into Coconut Creek, North Lauderdale, Coral Springs, Tamarac, Pompano Beach and Deerfield Beach. A street missing from that list is still worth a telephone call, because the list travels with whoever is working this month.

Raised on most opening calls

Compressed answers only. Everything below runs longer in person, and the number exists for that.

How much is an hour?

It turns on two things, the sort of help and the length of the drive, and the figure is given during the opening call. Hands-on work is charged above company. A brief booking carries a higher hourly rate, because the travel is unchanged however little happens at the far end. The smallest visit we will send somebody out for is quoted at the same moment.

What is actually in a visit?

We describe it aloud before anything is arranged — what is done, in what order, and what sits outside it. That description is the thing you are agreeing to, and if it does not match on the day we want to hear about it the same week.

How soon can somebody begin?

Around a fortnight, and what holds it up is the introduction rather than finding an aide. Several diaries have to line up in one kitchen for an hour. If a household is already in trouble, say so and that hour gets found sooner.

Can we change the aide?

Yes, and nobody treats it as a complaint. Tell the office and a different name is put forward, with the same introduction before anything is booked.

Is there a contract?

Nothing lengthy. Bookings run one week in advance at a time, and either party can stop with fair warning. The size of it goes up and down by telephone as the household does.

What happens if a task turns out to be medical?

The aide stops and says so at the time, with the reason. That hour is lost rather than the licence quietly stretched, and the office will tell you who the task actually belongs to.

A small office that’s against surprises

Non-medical home care for Margate and northern Broward. Help with the bathroom and getting dressed, steadier movement indoors, a cooked meal, rooms kept usable, and somebody to talk to. Everything we take on gets described first, because the hour families regret is nearly always the one nobody explained.
