An hour you can picture before you book it · (954) 758-9861

The hour families regret is the one nobody explained

About Home Care Margate

A small office covering Margate and the towns around it, run on the idea that a visit should be fully described in advance and then match that description every week.

Why we talk the hour through first

Most of the trouble families have with home care is not the standard of the work. It is that nobody told them what the visit would actually consist of, so the first time anyone discovers the limits of it is at the worst possible moment.

So the practice here is dull and deliberate. Before a date goes in the diary somebody walks you through the visit aloud — the jobs, the order, roughly how long each part runs, and the handful of things that sit outside it because of the licence. You can change any of it while it is still only a description.

What that buys, apart from calm, is a shared account of the hour. When something does not match it in week three, both sides already know what it was supposed to be, and the conversation is five minutes rather than an argument.

The office covers Margate, Coconut Creek, North Lauderdale, Coral Springs, Tamarac and the western half of Pompano Beach. We stay inside that because an aide stuck in traffic is an aide who arrives late, and late is how a good arrangement quietly dies.

How an aide gets matched to a house

Four things are weighed, and whoever happens to be spare is the last of them.

01

Manner before credentials

Identical qualifications turn out very different people at seven in the morning in somebody else's hallway. Manner gets weighed ahead of paperwork.

02

Distance, honestly

Mileage erodes punctuality well before it produces a missed visit, so whoever lives nearest is looked at first.

03

Whether the hours suit them

A person who is dependable across five early starts is rarely the same person who suits a single unhurried afternoon.

04

A second name, agreed early

A standby aide is settled alongside the first one and introduced in exactly the same way, so neither a holiday nor a bout of flu ever puts a stranger on the step.

Ask to hear a visit described

Not care in the abstract — the specific hour your household would be booking, walked through from the knock at the door to the note at the end.

Agree to a description, not a brochure

Everything this office takes on starts as a spoken account of one hour. That is the thing you say yes to.
